Chelsea captain
John Terry has been linked with a January move to Spanish side Valencia.
The centre-back has endured two stormy seasons in the
Premier League, recently banned for four games and heavily fined after being
found guilty by the Football Association of racially abusing QPR's Anton
Ferdinand.Terry resigned as England captain amid the fall-out from the year-long saga and FIFA agent Francois Gallardo has reportedly claimed that the 31-year-old is ready to relaunch his career abroad.
Gallardo was quoted as telling Radio Intereconomia: "Valencia are negotiating, and I am involved in person, with the signing in the winter transfer market.
The 30-year-old believes that his side have to make the Champions League setback work in their favour when they return to domestic duties.
"If you take it in perspective, it is good that this happened now because Manchester United is a similar team, who play on the counter-attack away from home," Cech declared.
Both clubs remain keen on the 24-year-old who is seemingly adamant he wants to leave Donetsk as it would aid his bid to become a regular in the Brazil national side.
"I've already made it clear to everyone. I want to go, I want to reach new goals," Willian is quoted as saying by The Sun.
Santos have already denied making a renewed bid for him, after previously showing an interest in the summer but they have again insisted they have no interest in the 32-year-old - following fresh reports in England.
Santos' vice-president Odilio Rodrigues said: "There is no interest for Malouda, he is not in our plans and if the English press is giving details about it, it must be because some agent is telling that to them to increase Malouda's value.
Frank Lampard is
expected to learn on Thursday whether injury will rule him out of Chelsea's
showdown against Manchester United this weekend.
The veteran midfielder lasted just 15 minutes of the
Blues' 2-1 Champions League Group E defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.Lampard suffered a recurrence of the calf injury that ruled him out of England's World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland and is set to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the problem.
The 34-year-old's withdrawal saw manager Roberto Di Matteo's game-plan go up in smoke, leaving Chelsea in danger of becoming the first holders to crash out of the competition before the knockout phase
Chelsea, who included John Terry in their starting XI while he serves a domestic suspension, left with only a late consolation from Oscar to show for their efforts.
Di Matteo admits his side put in a disappointing showing on the road, but remains optimistic regarding their chances of progressing from Group E after seeing Juventus surprisingly held by Nordsjaelland.
"I think we have to just look at this performance as a single one," he told Sky Sports.
Chelsea are poised to hand midfielder John Obi Mikel a bumper five-year deal
Mikel is in the final year of his current contract at Stamford Bridge but the Blues are keen to hold on to the 25-year-old and are willing to offer him new terms.
Talks have been ongoing for some time and Mikel's agent John Shittu now claims common ground has been reached.
"Mikel will soon sign a new five-year contract with an improved salary and we are just about finalising the details of it," Shittu told the Sun.
