CHELSEA'S SACK STILL HURTS AVB

Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas was sacked as manger of Chelsea Football club just after 9 months in charge.
Chelsea recruited Him after He led Porto to an undefeated season in the League winning four trophies and becoming the youngest manager ever to win an European Title in the process.
Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Villas Boas as their new manager on a three-year contract with immediate effect on 22 June 2011. They indirectly paid Porto €15 million (£13.3 million) compensation via Villas-Boas to activate his release clause and free him from his contract with Porto. On 30 July 2011, during the pre-season, Villas-Boas won his first piece of silverware with Chelsea, the 2011 Barclays Asia Trophy. Villas-Boas won all of his pre-season fixtures with Chelsea, with the team conceding only one goal in all six games.

On 14 August, Villas-Boas's first Premier League match ended in a 0–0 at Stoke City, with Villas-Boas commenting on Stoke's strong defence at home. Villas-Boas then won his first competitive match as Chelsea manager, defeating West Bromwich Albion 2–1 on 20 August. He continued his season with a back-to-back home wins beating Norwich City 3–1. On 18 September 2011, Villas-Boas's Chelsea lost to Manchester United 3–1 at Old Trafford. It was Chelsea's first defeat of the season and Villas-Boas's first defeat in 39 league matches, a run stretching back to his spells as manager of Académica and Porto. On 29 October, Chelsea lost their second derby under Villas-Boas in a 5–3 defeat at home to Arsenal after falling to a 1–0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers. Then three weeks later, his Chelsea side lost a second successive home game in a 2–1 defeat to Liverpool. Days later, he once again lost to Liverpool in a 2–0 defeat in the League Cup quarter-final.

On 11 February 2012, pressure began to mount on Villas-Boas as Chelsea dropped out of the top four in the Premier League following a 2–0 league defeat against Everton. Villas-Boas responded by cancelling his squad's day off and called them in for an inquest, which provoked several senior players to question his tactics in front of owner Roman Abramovich. On 21 February 2012, during a UEFA Champions League match against Napoli, Villas-Boas left Frank Lampard, Michael Essien and Ashley Cole on the bench, prompting the club's technical director to ask for an explanation of the team selection on behalf of Abramovich. On 4 March 2012, following a 1–0 league defeat against West Bromwich Albion which left Chelsea three points adrift of Arsenal in the battle for fourth place in the Premier League, Villas-Boas was relieved of his managerial duties by Chelsea, with assistant manager Roberto DI Matteo being appointed as caretaker manager on an interim basis until the end of the season. On the Chelsea website it read: "The board would like to record our gratitude for his work and express our disappointment that the relationship has ended so early."
Since his departure Andre Villa boas has been making a lot of comment about his former employers, notably on two occasions first, after Chelsea's qualification for the Europa League after crashing out of the Champions League and finishing third on the log. Secondly after the sack of His former assistant Roberto Di Matteo.
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas believes his former club Chelsea are undeserving of a place in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Having finished second in Group J, Spurs will not be seeded in the second round of the competition, meaning they could face teams who have dropped down from the UEFA Champions League, such as Benfica and Olympiakos.
Villas-Boas will not be able to take on former club Chelsea in the next round as teams from the same country cannot face each other until the last 16 but he thinks they should not be in the competition at all.
"I think it's extremely unfair," he said. "It would be much fairer if the clubs came in to the Europa League when they are knocked out of the last 16 of the Champions League.
"You can't give a bonus to teams who have failed, and in the situation as it stands, teams fail in the Champions League and are promoted to the Europa League, which, in my opinion, is a massive bonus.
"I've not made this up today. I have said this in UEFA meetings before. It's up to them to decide but I think it's not fair."
Andre Villas-Boas has labelled Chelsea's sacking of Roberto Di Matteo as "just another day at the office".

It's their decision, it's what they think will take them forward," Tottenham manager Villas-Boas said.
"At Chelsea, I think another sacking is just like any other day at the office. That's my interpretation."
Villas-Boas said he had sympathy for the former West Brom manager.
"He has achieved so much in such a little amount of time," he added.
"His CV is maybe one of the best in the world now - he has won the Champions League and the FA Cup too.
"It was difficult for Robbie and I wish him well for the rest of his career."
Abramovich has now fired seven managers since he bought the Stamford Bridge club nine years ago.
"Most of the managers that have recently left that club have moved on to other positions," he said.
"We are grateful for having been through that club and through that experience, now all of us are in different situations with different clubs moving on with our careers.
Villas-Boas added: "I haven't spoken to (Di Matteo) because my focus is absolutely on Tottenham.
"I have a relationship with Robbie and when appropriate we will have a conversation, but I'm not in a position to offer any advice."
AVB after his dismissal at Chelsea blamed the players as the reason why he was fired.
With all this sort of comment coming from Andre Villa Boas its very clear that the Chelsea dismissal still hurts him so badly and there will be no better way to pay back if not by sending Chelsea packing from the Europa League if both teams should meet at any stage in the competition.
