TODAY'S SOCCER GOSSIP 13/12/12

Everton are ready to make a triple swoop for Manchester City and England defender Joleon Lescott 30, on loan, Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro25, and Toulouse forward Wissam Ben Yedder22.

Juventus are lining up a £90,000-a-week deal to persuade Arsenal and England winger Theo Walcott, 23, to join them in January

The Italian giants also want to sign former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua

Sir Alex Ferguson will spend next week in New York - raising the intriguing possibility of fresh talks with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.

Liverpool may try to keep Nuri Sahin, 24, at the end of his loan spell from Real Madrid but face competition from the Turkey midfielder's former club Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is going to use the sale of Portuguese winger Nani, 26, to fund the transfers of Porto's Colombian winger James Rodriguez 21, and Celtic's 21-year-old Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Bradford City captain Gary Jones believes Arsenal's stars ought to be embarrassed by their Capital One Cup quarter-final exit at Valley Parade on Tuesday and said that 10-man Torquay United had put up more of a fight in League Two on Saturday.

Magician and Bradford fan Dynamo claims he helped his side to a shock victory over Arsenal by having a hand in Gunners defender Thomas Vermaelen's missed penalty.

Arsenal players are concerned over a developing rift between manager Arsene Wenger and coach Steve Bould.

The Sun says after the Capital One Cup shootout defeat to Bradford City the players talked of increasing strain between Wenger and No 2 Bould.

Former player Bould only replaced long-term servant Pat Rice in the summer.
A source said: “There does not seem to be much communication between the two.
“It is a shame because all the players are behind Wenger despite the results but equally, they all respect Bould. Things are strained.”
The source said that Wenger is still in total charge of the players.
They added: “Bould worked with the defence before the start of the season but he has not done too many sessions since.
“Wenger remains in complete control over everything.”

Valencia president Manuel Llorente is working on bringing two former stars back to the Mestalla.
Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol and Barcelona striker David Villa are both on Valencia's shopping list.
Albiol and Villa are struggling for minutes at their respective clubs and Los Che hope to tempt them back 'home'.
The stumbling block will be the wages both players enjoy at the current teams.
