WILL WINNING THE FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP SAVE BENITEZ?

Benitez's Chelsea have now gone three matches without a win, the last being their 3 - 1 rare defeat against West Ham on Saturday a result which led to a burst out between players and management of the team in the dressing room..
Club Owner Roman Abramovich was understood to have been infuriated by his players' second-half capitulation.
Benitez is now face to face with the word "pressure" and is a victim of intense Hostility from the Chelsea supporters.

Many believe Benitez may not last long enough to see off his contract come may 2013. Despite the Spaniard lack of immediate impact at the club since his arrival, the FIFA Club World cup may have provided him with an opportunity to win the heart of the Chelsea supporters and may also help him keep his job till the end of the season.
Benitez who had a reputation at Liverpool for doing so well in European Cup competition and His experience in the Club World Cup tournament may have been what Abramovich saw and brought him to the club to help add a another trophy to their cabinet.

Chelsea have submitted a 23-man squad for the tournament which include;
Goalkeepers
1Petr CECH
22Ross TURNBULL
40HILARIO
Defenders
2Branislav IVANOVIC
3Ashley COLE
4DAVID LUIZ

Chelsea leave for Japan immediately after their next premiership game against Sunderland on Saturday  but before then, Benitez has the chance to redeem himself when Chelsea come up against the Danish side Nordsjaelland in their final Champions League game on Wednesday.
Poor results in their next two fixtures, and i doubt if Benitez will be on that flight to Japan.
