FIVE WAYS MANCINI CAN HANDLE BALOTELLI

Roberto Mancini has dismissed his training-ground altercation with Mario Balotelli as "nothing special".
The Manchester City manager was pictured angrily confronting his striker during training on Thursday, raising new questions over Balotelli's future at the club.
But Mancini told a press conference Balotelli will not face disciplinary action and the incident will not spell the end of the 22-year-old's Eastlands career.
He said: "We were playing a game and Mario kicked his team-mate. I told him to leave the pitch, he said 'no', and I took his shirt and pushed him from the pitch. That is what really happened - nothing special, no fight.

"These are things that can happen, usually between players. This was different because I wanted him to leave the pitch for what he did against another player."
Asked whether he would now look to sell Balotello, Mancini said: "No, no, no, no. This is not important - it doesn't change my thoughts on this.
"I will give him another 100 chances if possible, if I think he can change. I am here for this. Sometimes I am upset with him, but I give him another chance, sure. He is 22 and he can make a mistake."
Mancini has more often than not backed his fellow Italian despite a series of high-profile incidents - on and off the pitch - since the striker's 2010 arrival from Inter.

But if the Man city boss really wants to get something good from the Italian Super Mario he will have to take one or two out of the five options below.
5. Training
Mancini could force Balotelli to go and train with a different side such as the reserves or one of the youth teams just as Maluoda is currently doing at Chelsea. This would be a harsh and humiliating lesson for the Italian and one he will not enjoy but it would be a very clear and strong message from the manager.

4. Bench
One of the harshest things Mancini could do is keep Balotelli on the fringe of first team action but just leave him on the bench. He’d experience all of the normal things about a match day but wouldn’t be allowed to indulge in any. Slightly sadistic maybe but one of the most effective ways Mancini can get him to toe the line. This technique has always been employed by Manchester United Boss Sir Alex and bet me no one is greater than the Manager.

3. Sit in the Stands or bench him
Mancini could force Balotelli to go and take a seat in the stands as punishment for the incident. He showed with the whole Carlos Tevez affair that he’s not afraid of excluding anyone from first team matches and this could be effective considering that massive ego Balotelli carries around with him everywhere. 2. Internal Punishment
There is going to be some form of internal punishment whether that’s a mega fine, a forced apology or something along those lines. If City put pressure on Mancini to try and pacify the incident then this is the most like outcome but it won’t really do anything to stop similar incidents involving Balotelli from re-appearing.
It seems like we’re long past the issue of resentment between these two individuals so Mancini needs to think outside the box in terms of how he tackles it. Tevez is the best placed to admit how chilly it can get when a player is left out in the cold.

1. Transfer
One of the simplest things Mancini could do is just sell Balotelli but this would be more complicated than just opening the floor to offers. However, this would completely rid the manager of what has proven to be a constant thorn in his side for a number of months. But who will want to accept the striker with open hands, not even Mourihno could handle him. preferably, Mancini may even consider a loan deal just to get Balotelli out of his hair.
If any of this doesn't work out for Mancini and Balotelli, am of the opinion that the Soccer world should be ready for more of the drama between the two.
In my country they say "A child who said his father will not sleep, will surely not sleep too"
