ITALIAN SERIE A ROUND UP INCLUDING TRANSFER NEWS

Alexandre Pato is just one meeting away from leaving Italian giants Milan for Corinthians, his agent has confirmed. “I think that everything will be sorted out in a couple of days at the maximum,” representative Gilmar Veloz told the Brazilian media.
“Milan and Corinthians are a step away from an agreement for Pato’s transfer. There is just one more step, a meeting between the Brazilian club and... Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani.
“Corinthians have agreed to everything which Milan have asked for,” he continued.
“The transfer will be on a permanent basis seeing as nobody will loan you a player who is 23-years-old. Pato received other offers too, but he decided that he wanted to return to Brazil.”
The Brazilian international will cost the South American outfit around €15m.
Galliani is also in Brazil hoping to find a buyer for striker Robinho as he too has asked for a January transfer home.

Brazilian reports suggest Santos have made their final offer of €7m, but it doesn’t satisfy either Milan or Robinho.
The striker has said he would like to return to his homeland and above all his old club, but negotiations have hit obstacles.
The Rossoneri already turned down one bid and Brazilian media report their €10m price-tag has still not been met.

Santos are rumoured to have made their ‘final offer’ of €7m and a contract worth €3.6m per season.
However, Robinho is believed to want wages of at least €4.8m, so the proposal doesn’t satisfy his requirements either.
The bidding war heats up for the striker, as Flamengo, Fluminense and others are also said to be interested.

e Corriere dello Sport is suggesting that Liverpool’s Nuri Sahin, owned by Real Madrid, could make a January move to Inter. The Turkish international is currently on loan at Anfield from the Spanish giants, but his season-long stay could be cut short this month given his recent difficulties in the Premiership.
The 24-year-old, also of interest to German club Borussia Dortmund, was paired with the San Siro outfit last summer.
Should a switch to Inter occur, it would only be on a temporary basis.

Roma forward Francesco Totti claims he could keep on playing until he is 50 and aims to walk out of the tunnel of the club's new stadium in 2016.
The Giallorossi legend has spent his entire career at the Stadio Olimpico and continues to play a starring role - scoring six times already this season.
And when asked what the future holds, it is evident that retirement is far from his thoughts.
"The president says he hopes that I score the first goal in the new stadium and I hope that I can do that as well, even though it is four years away," he told TRS.
"Could I play until I am 50? Who knows, it would be difficult but nothing is impossible!"
And with the capital club sat in sixth spot in Serie A, Totti revealed he is hoping to put an end to his side's long wait for silverware in 2013.
"In 2013, I hope to continue to play as I have been doing lately. This is a wish for myself, but I think that the fans will wish for the same thing," he added.
"Hopefully we can win a trophy or a championship as soon as possible because it has been a long time."
Roma announced plans for a brand new 55-60,000 seater stadium on Monday and hope it will be ready in time for the 2016-17 season.

Peluso undergoing Juventus medical
The 28-year-old is closing in on a move to the reigning Serie A champions after the club confirmed the latest developments
Atalanta defender Federico Peluso is undergoing a medical at Juventus and could complete his transfer before the end of today.
Soccer4life understands that the deal is a €1.5 million loan move, with the Bianconeri having the option of making the transfer permanent at the end of the current campaign.
If they choose to do so then the Serie A champions will pay €3.5m for his services, with the 28-year-old set to provide competition at both centre-half and left wing-back.
A statement on the club's official website confirmed the news and stated the player will undergo medical tests at the Institute of Sports Medicine in Turin.
Peluso joined Atalanta in 2009 from AlbinoLeffe and has made three appearances for Italy.

Niang is better than Balotelli, says AC Milan president BerlusconiThe controversial Rossoneri chief again lauded himself as the most successful president in football history, as well as explaining that the club have a three-year plan
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi believes that youngster M’Baye Niang is better than Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli.
The Rossoneri have been heavily linked with the Italy international, whose topsy-turvy temperament and below-par performances have seen him fall out of favour at the Etihad this season.
And the San Siro chief explained that he has faith in the promising talent at his club, and hopes that the team will become a world-class side once more with the next few years.
"We sold [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva [in the summer] for monetary needs, but the others left for age reasons," Berlusconi told Radio Mars.
"Our goal is to return as a big team in three years' time, to start a new cycle with [Stephan] El Shaarawy - who is an extraordinary player - and Mattia De Sciglio, who will become a champion. Niang is better than Balotelli."
After making the same claim earlier in December, the Milan president also proclaimed himself as the greatest president in the history of the sport once again, and insisted that the club should still be considered one of the best in the world.
"We're the team who won most international trophies, we are the most successful team in the world," Berlusconi added.
"I'm the most successful president in the football history, and in second place there is [former Real Madrid president Santiago] Bernabeu, who has a stadium dedicated to him."
