BAYERN VS BARCA THE BEST EVER UEFA CHAPIONS LEAGUE DRAW

Yesterday the Semi-final draw of the UEFA Champions League saw German Champions drawn against current leaders in the Spanish La Liga Barcelona, a draw which I consider the best draw so far in recent times.
The first leg of their semi-final will take place in Germany on April 23 while the return legs will take place the following week on May 1.
Bayern and Barca last met in the quarter-finals four years ago, the Catalans winning 5-1 on aggregate.

I call this the best draw so far, because this is the real meeting of giants. Bayern this season have been in a magnificent run of good form. Already clinching their league title even before the last day of the season.
Barcelona on the other hand, are currently at the top of the Spanish League with some respectable points away from their rival Real Madrid.
Barcelona who by no doubt are the best team in the World, having outclass their European rivals from different leagues in European at one time or the other.
This fixture will be an exciting one to watch, when some of Europe's best players will be on display. It will be interesting to see how Barcelona try to keep out the goal scoring strikers of Bayern and also how Bayern try to contain with the tip - tap style of play of Barcelona who are carried on by Lionel Messi.
The most interesting battle in this fixture is the midfield battle. Where the likes of Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta will battle with David Alaba, Bastian Schweinsteigter and Gustavo or Javi Martinez.
Bayern will use this fixture as an avenue to show Barcelona that they are now a much beta side than they were four years ago.
Barcelona and Bayern have become a regular figure in the UEFA Champions league Quater final and semi-final stage in recent times, and both were beaten by Chelsea last season.
And now the battle line has been drawn, both teams are going to battle it out in this two legged encounter. And them we shall truly know which of the two is the best team in Europe really.
