RICHEST PLAYERS IN THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE 2013

There are always argument every now and then over who the richest player in the English premier league is. Recently in responds to this the Sunday times sports rich list have realesed the official list of the richest players in the English Premier League.
Wayne Rooney is the richest player in the English Premier League with a personal fortune of $76.8 million.

The striker, whose wealth has increased from $67.8 million last year, is $13.6 million better off than Manchester United team-mate Rio Ferdinand.
Rooney and his wife Colleen are jointly worth $96.7 million.
The striker and centre-back Ferdinand are two of 24 current Premier League players among the 100 wealthiest sportsmen in Great Britain and Ireland, according to the list to be published.
David Beckham unsurprisingly tops the lot with a $248.5 million fortune.
Michael Owen ($57 million) is third among the Premier League players, ahead of Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard (both $51 million).
Six Manchester United players are on the list, including Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie, who is a new entry with $18 million.
Steven Gerrard is Liverpool's richest player with a $49.5 million fortune, with Carlos Tevez ($27 million) the richest Manchester City player on the list.
But their wealth pales in comparison to that of former England captain Beckham, now playing with Paris Saint-Germain, who is the richest sportsperson in Britain.
He sits 11th on the Sunday Times World Sport Rich List, which is headed by Tiger Woods, worth $855 million.
Beckham's joint wealth with wife Victoria is rated at $300 million.
There are two other footballers on the world top 20, Barcelona's Lionel Messi, worth $187.5 million, and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, worth $180 million.
The Rich List is based on identifiable wealth, including land, property, other assets such as art and racehorses, or significant shares in publicly quoted companies. It excludes bank accounts.
