All the latest Chelsea news and gossip.
Rafa Benitez has given an update on Eden Hazard's status, after the Belgian missed the 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday with a calf injury. The interim boss says he believes Hazard will be available for the huge midweek clash with Tottenham but cannot say for sure.
Benitez said: "I think he could be available [for Spurs] but it is not easy to say now. The physios are working with him so we will see."
Chelsea's move for Andre Schurrle is getting closer, after Bayer Leverkusen's general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser said the player has 'probably signed a pre-contract' with Chelsea. This means he believes personal terms are agreed between Schurrle and Chelsea, but the German club are still considering an offer from The Blues. He also added however that Leverkusen are holding out for other offers from rival clubs, hoping they can get a better deal.
Holzhauser also revealed that they are still hoping to sign Kevin de Bruyne, but face competition from Borussia Dortmund who he says have made a 'high bid' for the Belgian.
Former boss Andre Villas-Boas has been stoking the fire ahead of the clash between Spurs and Chelsea on Wednesday, stating that the positive attitude of the Tottenham players is the 'secret to his success' and happiness this season.
Former player Joe Cole says he is keen to see ex-boss Jose Mourinho return to Chelsea this summer, stating 'I'd love to see him back'. Cole believes Mourinho would turn the Blues into title contenders once again.
Meanwhile a speculative report in Spain has suggested that the fact the 'Special One' was pictured in Ikea buying dozens of boxes is somehow proof that he is on the move. Perhaps it is, but it's certainly not the hard evidence Chelsea fans want to see.
