WHAT UNITED COULD DO WITH ROONEY'S £40MILLION

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay £40million for Wayne Rooney, and Manchester United should consider using that money to buy Bernard and Luis Gustavo.
Although they are no longer the dominant financial powerhouse in the Premier League, it is clear that Manchester United do not need to sell in order to buy new players this summer.
However with speculation that Chelsea could offer £40million for Wayne Rooney this summer, David Moyes should consider accepting that fee and investing it in two Brazilian players who could have a major impact on his new team.

Atletico Mineiro’s Bernard has become one of the most sought after targets of the summer, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk all still being linked with the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.

Bernard is reportedly available for around £22million, and could be a fine signing for Manchester United. Able to play in a variety of positions around an attack, the Brazil international is a genuine goal threat and also a fine creative player who could develop into one of the best players in the Premier League at Old Trafford. Bernard would also be able to act as a replacement for Nani should the Portuguese winger be sold this summer.
Bernard who have enjoyed a close partnership with Brazilian super star Ronaldihno can also transfer what he has been able to learn to Old trafford where the fans can take solace after seeing themselves loosing out to Barcelona for the signature of the "toothy" Ronaldihno.

Meanwhile Luis Gustavo is apparently on the market for around £15million due to Bayern Munich’s embarrassment of riches in midfield. The composed defensive midfielder would be an excellent addition to United’s side, able to break up the opposition play and start attacks for his side alongside Michael Carrick.
With Gustavo showing he can also play at the highest stage after being a key figure in the demolition of Spain at the confederations cup in his native country Brazil few months back. It will be  money well spent if David Moyes can take the bold step in securing his signature instead of going after "impossible" targets.

If the reports of Chelsea’s bid for Rooney are true, Manchester United could sign Bernard and Luis Gustavo without taking a nibble out of their budget this summer. Adding the two Brazil internationals to the team would help in two areas of their squad where Moyes should be looking to add some depth.

With Rooney apparently keen to move, and on a ludicrously high salary at Old Trafford, it makes sense to move him on this summer, and a £40million fee would give Moyes the resources to replace the England international.
