In anticipation for another weekend of Soccer fiesta, a lot of news have been circulating in the air, especially that of David Beckham after declaring his intention to leave the MLS after his club final game tomorrow.
Soccer4life brings to you some of the News from across Europe top leagues.
David Beckham is excited about becoming an owner of a Major Soccer League club as Tim Leiweke expressed his hope the midfielder will remain part of Los Angeles Galaxy.
Former England captain Beckham plays his final game for the Galaxy in the MLS Cup final on Saturday and plans to continue his career elsewhere.
However, he is also set to take a stake in a club in the United States and the 37-year-old is looking forward to another chapter in his career.
"Obviously I know I'm finishing playing after the weekend and the ownership part comes into play," said Beckham.
"It's something I'm excited about and something which again proves my commitment to the league and whatever club I become part owner or owner of.
"I'm excited about that but I'll always be committed to the Galaxy in some way because I've been here for six years and like Manchester United and Real Madrid, it's become a home for me."
Leiweke, who is president and CEO of Anschutz Entertainment Group - which owns LA Galaxy, added: "I think the gas and speculation is pretty good. David and this franchise and this ownership group have had a great relationship.
"I don't think it's going to end here but we'll wait until the right time. We're focused on the cup final on Saturday and playing that. We'll get through the game on Saturday and deal with that later.
"David and us started this vision together. We spent two years talking to him, getting him comfortable and working through how to get him here. He has then spent six years here.
"When you look at all of that, the relationship and the longevity, we've been partners for eight years and that doesn't end so quickly or so easily.
"If there are ways to ultimately continue to develop that relationship to grow the sport and for him to stay part of the Galaxy, we've always said we want to be in the relationship forever, not for six years."
Else where Jermain Defoe has dismissed reports of a January move to QPR and insisted that he wants to see out his career with Tottenham.
Speculation has emerged that the England striker is a top target for new QPR boss Harry Redknapp when the transfer window re-opens on New Year's Day.
But Defoe, Spurs' leading scorer this season with 10 goals in all competitions, claims he has no intention of linking up with Redknapp for the fourth time in his career.
"That's not going to happen. I'm not leaving Tottenham, I love the club and to score goals at a big club like this is fantastic," Defoe told Sky Sports News.
"If the opportunity comes to leave the club it won't be happening. I don't want to leave, I'm a Spurs player - and I'm happy. I'd like to finish my career at Tottenham. I want to achieve something special here - it's a great time to be at the club."
Spurs moved to fifth in the Premier League after Wednesday's 2-1 win over Liverpool, and Defoe is confident they can sustain their challenge for a Champions League place.
"I thought the performance against Liverpool was great. It was a massive win," he added. "Character is key and the lads who've come in have been fantastic. With the quality we've got it's important to go on a run and we're capable of doing that."
Defoe also offered his full backing to Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who has struggled to win over the fans since succeeding Redknapp in the summer.
"It's difficult for any manager - when you come in you've got different ideas," said Defoe. "It wasn't the best at Chelsea but that happens. It's part of life and being a manager, but he's a fantastic manager and been fantastic for me.
"There's always a different approach each game and he's such a nice guy. All the lads want to fight and win for him. I'm just enjoying the journey and I'm sure he is as well."
Injured Michel Vorm remains Swansea's top keeper despite the current form of Gerhard Tremmel, says manager Michael Laudrup.
Vorm is expected to be recalled in the next few weeks having been out with a torn groin muscle since the end of October.
The Dutch international will have his work cut out though because of the ongoing efforts of Tremmel, who has proved himself in a team who are unbeaten for a month and up to eighth in the Premier League.
"I am very happy with what Gerhard has been doing," Laudrup said about the keeper who has started Swansea's last six matches since Vorm picked up an injury at Manchester City.
"Being the second goalkeeper at a club is maybe the most difficult position in football, because you know that most of the time you are not going to play.
"I am of the opinion that if somebody proves himself over a long period of time, he still deserves to be No.1 even after four or five games out
.
"That goes for a keeper, a right-back, a left-back or whoever. It's difficult to say they are not playing after a little spell out, and I think Michel has shown here that he is No.1.
"But having said that, you cannot stand still as a player. What Gerhard has done has put pressure on Michel, and that's good for the team."
