As the premier league enters its week 22, with a lot of mouth watering clashes especially the Super Sunday clash of Liverpool and Manchester United.
Soccer4life brings to you five things to expect this weekend in the premier league.
1. MANCHESTER CITY TO CONTINUE THEIR SURGE TO THE TOP
After playing out a goalless draw with Everton in mid-week, Manchester City will see this as a perfect opportunity to keep their title hopes alive as they try to close the gap between themselves and the two top teams ; Arsenal and Leicester City who are ahead of them with just three points.
With City coming head to head with a Yannick Bolasie-less Crystal Palace, this will present them with the perfect opportunity to do just that.
2. MAN UTD BEING UNABLE TO COPE WITH LIVERPOOL
Since the Jurgen Klopp era at Anfield, Liverpool's approach to big games has been one of speed and all out attack. And this seem to be working out fine for them as they have humiliated Man city with a 3 - 0 victory and also grinned out a 3 - 3 draw with Arsenal. And LVG keeping faith with the defensive duo of Blind at center back and Darmian at either side of the defence, Liverpool will be grateful to mother luck as they will bambooze their way to meet David Dea Gea who alone will determine what the final scoreline will look like.
3. ARSENAL STRUGGLE AT STOKE CITY
The Britannia stadium has never been a good hunting ground for the Gunners. Whenever this fixture comes up, the words of Arsene Wenger describing Stoke's playing pattern as that of a ruby team often comes to mind. But Stoke City is now a long way far from that as they play one of the most attractive football on show in the league. With skillful and strong players in their ranks, they sure will prove a tough test for Arsene Wenger and his hungry lads who are determine to win their first Premier League title since 2004.
4. SWANSEA TO CONTINUE THEIR SLIDE DOWN THE CLIFF
It beats the imagination on how Swansea city got to this level after their impressive performance during the early stage of the season with a famous victory over Manchester United and an impressive outing against Manchester City. All these for the Swans fans are history as they continue to watch their team sink into the relegation zone with each coming fixture and they can be sure of another movement in that direction this weekend.
5. CHELSEA TO REMAIN UNBEATEN IN JANUARY
Dutch man Guuds Hindink who is on a rescue mission in Chelsea must have found things quite different from the last time he was on the same mission at the bridge. But one thing he sure has brought to the team is a little bit of stability which I am sure will see him scale through this month of January without loosing a game.
