REASONS WHY SIR ALEX IS RIGHT ABOUT NOT SIGNING IN JANUARY.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed he will 'definitely not' be adding to his Manchester United squad during the January transfer window.
The United manager invested in his squad during the summer by splashing out to bring in Robin van Persie from Arsenal and Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund.
Ferguson also recruited Alexander Buttner as cover at left-back and snapped up the highly-rated teenage midfielder Nick Powell from Crewe Alexandra.
However, there has been speculation that Ferguson will try to make further additions in the New Year in order to cement United's position at the top of the Premier League table.
Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski and Arsenal winger Theo Walcott are among the players to have been linked with moves to Old Trafford, but Ferguson is not planning for any new arrivals.
"I will not be bringing anybody in, in January, definitely not," Ferguson told the Mail on Sunday.
Instead, Ferguson is expected to send some of the club's fringe players out on loan, with Italian striker Federico Macheda among those tipped for a winter move.

This season has been better than the last season already in terms of success and with Nemanja Vidic now back for United, things can only get better. Sir Alex Ferguson spoke with the Main On Sunday about new signings and all he had to was:
“I will not be bringing anybody in, in January – definitely not.”

Soccer4life takes a look at some of the reasons why Sir Alex may be right about His decision
1. Ferguson has seen his side go six points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with the squad he has this season. They have beaten Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester City away from home, and not many teams can say they have done that this season. United have also qualified for the UEFA Champions League knock out stages after topping their group, were eliminated from the Capital One Cup by the hands of Chelsea and face West Ham United in the third round proper of the FA Cup.

2. Most quality players United will be interested in signing are already cup tied in the UEFA Champions League so there is no need spending on a player who won't play in the Champions league.

3. Sir Alex always says there are no quality in the market during the January transfer Window and one doesn't have to look far away to confirm that, not withstanding that Nemanja Vidic and Evra were both purchased in the January transfer window but the fact still remains if you want quality the best time to shop its in the summer ask Chelsea.

4. United need to control the financial expenditure, Any player coming in during the January transfer window will definitely not be placed on anything below £80,000 a-week and because of that reason United need to avoid any deal during this period.

5. United made some major signings in the summer and that has greatly affected the way the team plays and up till this moment United are still trying to find a perfect formation and pattern of play that suits the players currently available at the club. United right now don't need any player that will come in and instead of delivering instantly will sit on the bench until He settles in and learn how to play the United way.

6. The centre midfield does look a bit of a worry though but the way Tom Cleverley has been playing recently, he has shown he has what it takes to succeed at the club. Also Anderson’s form has improved but he has an injury which is the same every time he gets some form. We will have to see if he is still ‘in the zone’ when he makes his return and if he does, United have no reason to purchase any midfielder again.

7.  Many we argue that United needs a centre back but the fact remains that the team are still getting used to playing a different formation different from the traditional 4-4-2, and that's the price they have to pay until they have perfected on the new  4-2-3-1 formation. And with Nemanja Vidic now back for United, things can only get better.

8. United depth in squad is another reason they don't need to spend in the winter transfer window, Teams usually buy when they feel their current squad is being over stretched, but in the case of United this season, there are a lot of players at their disposal that will help keep the team fresh despite the tight match schedule.

I am sure Manchester United will still continue to be linked to many more players between now and February, and unless Ferguson has bluffed the press, we will not see new additions in January.
One thing the boss did confirm is that the club will be looking to loan out some of the clubs fringe players to help gain them some experience, so January will be very busy in that area.
