EUROPEAN TRANSFER ROUND UP 09/01/2013

As the January transfer window still very much open, most European clubs are still finding it difficult to get hold of the target buys, while some others have already made one or two signings already.
Soccer4life takes a look at all the latest transfer news around Europe.
Valencia are ready to rival Atletico Madrid to the signing of French international Jeremy Toulalan.
The Malaga midfielder is one player being earmarked as coach Manuel Pellegrini as ‘non-essential’ as the AndalucĂa club continue to put into effect cost cutting incentives.

The club has struggled with finances since the summer after difficulties with their wealthy owner and want to trim the wage budget ahead of a busy 2013.

Alessandro Del Piero could be about to cut short his stay in the Australian A-League. The Italian legend signed for Sydney FC from long-time club Juventus this summer on a free transfer but has since his new team falter in the A-League; sitting at the foot of the table. His optional second-year in his current deal is now being questioned while he may even look for an escape route this month. He is reportedly keen on a return to former club Padova.

Wesley Sneijder is reportedly not keen on a move to Turkish side Galatasaray. The Dutch international has been made available for a free transfer by current club Inter Milan as they attempt to trim their wage bill. The 28-year-old is on £200k-a-week; a figure the wealthy Turkish side are willing to get as near to as possible in pursuit of their number one target. Sneijder however is more keen on a move to La Liga, Serie A or Premier League locations despite a lack of interest.

Anderlecht are planning for the expected departure of Argentine international midfielder Lucas Biglia this month with a move for Spartak Moscow defensive midfielder Demy De Zeeuw. The Dutchman is keen on a move back west and the Belgian league leaders are willing to give him that opportunity.

Former Everton loanee Manuel Fernandes is a reported target for Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk. The Portuguese international is currently plying his trade in Turkey with Besiktas and has become a transfer target of former Besiktas boss Mircea Lucescu at the Donbass Arena. Finances should not be an issue for the richest club in Ukraine but it could spark rumours of an imminent departure for Fernandinho. However Fernandes himself is not keen on a move.

Lazio goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carizzo has become the latest goalkeeper linked with a move to Inter Milan in the wake of reserve keeper Luca Castellazzi undergoing shoulder surgery. After an approach for Chievo stopper Stefano Sorrentino fell apart over his potential price-tag the 28-year-old is now being considered as the perfect option at the right price.

Finally in Serie A Atalanta and Genoa have agreed a swap deal that will see Thomas Manfredini swap clubs with Michele Canini.
