ARSENAL LATEST 3/4/2013

All the latest Arsenal news within the last 24hours.
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Arsene Wenger is not on their shortlist to become the club’s next boss. Wenger has been heavily tipped to leave the Gunners if they don’t finish in the top four, with PSG a natural destination as they are currently the biggest club in France.

Rumours are still lingering that Arsenal could try to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina at the end of the season. Reina has been linked with a summer switch to the Emirates because of the fact Arsenal have been forced to used different goalkeepers in various parts of the season.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to raid the Bundesliga for three of the division’s best players. Reports are suggesting that the Gunners will spend upwards of £70 million to sign Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Lars Bender from their current clubs to try and fire the club back to some silverware.

Arsene Wenger says under fire attacker Gervinho is only going to get better. The forward has taken criticism from various angles this season for the inconsistency of his performances. He produced possibly his best display of the season last weekend in the win over Reading.

Borussia Dortmund play maker Marco Reus has described Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky as his idol. Reus has been tipped to join several Premier League clubs this summer, Arsenal included, and he could be tempted into linking up with a player who he copied when he was growing up.

Arsene Wenger says the signing of Nacho Monreal has improved the defence in more ways than one. The Gunners signed Monreal from Malaga in the last transfer window and he’s become an instant hit in a back four which has taken a lot of criticism so far this season.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says quick starts to matches have been the cause for the club’s turn around in form. Ramsey says some of Arsenal’s best performances are coming when they start matches quickly and press early on, looking for early goals which kill fixtures.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested Kieran Gibbs is now among the top three left backs in the country. Gibbs has produced some solid recent performances for the Gunners which has created stiff competition with Nacho Monreal for the starting spot at the club.

Former Arsenal star Samir Nasri has described Arsene Wenger as the best coach that he has ever worked with. Nasri left the Gunners for Manchester City but has hit out at criticism from current boss Roberto Mancini by suggesting that Wenger is a far superior manager.
