THE UNITED STAR WHO MAY HAVE JUST WON HIS WAY INTO THE FIRST TEAM

Pre- season is a period in which coaches use to prepare their squad for the upcoming season and also to measure the level of improvement within the youth system of the club.
Every season a player or two usually take that bold step of coming up the rank to feature in the first team though not as regular starters but at least make the substitute bench of the first team.
This year's Manchester United tour to Asia and Australia presented by AON will no doubt be labelled a success, though the club didn't produce any spectacular result unlike their premier league title contenders, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool who produced a series of 7 - 0s it presented certain players the opportunity to have a full pre season with the team, players such as Kagawa, Buttner, Van Persie, and new comer Zaha not also forgetting the entire coaching crew led by new manager David Moyes.

During the tour two young players Lingard and Adan Januzaj have really been up and doing to prove to the manger that they deserve to be considered. Among the two stands out one who looks more likely to feature for the first team next season, if possible beginning with the community shield on Sunday 11 August at the new Wembly.
Jesse Lingard did not only impress on the tour to Australia and the far East but also finished as the top scorer with four goals, bearing in mind that the 20-yr old is not even a striker.
his runs, touches, energy and eye for goal is something United will benefit from, one cannot help but sense the young man brings something different from the rest who are already established members of the first team.
Jesse Lingard have in recent times have not only won praises from fans world wide but also from senior members of the team. Rio Ferdinand was quoted saying "He is a great little player, on the previous tour he was one of our best players but it didn't work out for him last season. But he couldn't have done anymore to put himself in the shop window in terms of the manager."
A statement which in no little way shows Rio's approval of the young winger.
