WHY ARE UNITED GOING AFTER THE IMPOSSIBLE?

First Alcantara, then Fabregas, now Schweinsteiger, who else will snub Man united before they eventually settle for Fellani?
While the majority of Premier League clubs have impressed with their summer shopping – not least United’s great rivals City – David Moyes has so far come up short in pursuit of his transfer targets. While United have generated more headlines than most, that doesn't equate to their signings, with only young full-back Guillermo Varela arriving thus far.
David Moyes who even before taking full charge of his new team came out public to declare his desire to solve united's midfield problem with the signing of a big name midfielder, a promise he is finding very difficult to fulfill.
Manchester United and David Moyes in the desperate attempt to fulfill the promise have found themselves casting their net in the wrong side of the market, where they tend to spot out players who are not willing to leave their present teams.

United have been linked with Thiago was later signed up for former manager Pep at Bayern, then came Roma's new signing Strommer, then Juventus midfield maestro Machisio who is very happy at his current club and looking forward to retiring there, then Fabregas who is finally feeling at home now very close to his family and friends and now reports are out linking United to Bayern's Schweinsteiger.
The Premier League champions have become aware of whispers in Germany that Schweinsteiger may not fit into Pep Guardiola’s new Bavarian blueprint.
And with United looking for top-class midfield alternatives should a final attempt to prise Fabregas away from the Nou Camp be unsuccessful, the 29-year-old German would fit the bill perfectly.
Schweinsteiger – last week named German Footballer of the Year.
Getting rid of a player who came through the youth ranks and is regarded as a Bayern legend would be a huge gamble by Guardiola but it’s a gamble we all know he will never take.
From all indications its very clear united are about to beat a dead horse.
One may wonder why United who claim to have a blank cheque to sign any player they want, couldn't settle down and go for cheaper and available players across Europe who will do a much better job with a good and relax frame of mind instead of going for players who even if they leave will forever become public enemies to their own people.
