CHIEVO SEEKING DIVINE INSPIRATION TO AVOID RELEGATION AS THEY CONSULT POPE FRANCIS

Relegation is a feat every club owner and player never wish to experience, but Football Leagues being what they are certain teams most definitely occupy the last three position on the log. The financial effect of this demotion on teams is so great that teams do all within their limit to make sure they team remains in the top flight.
In an attempt to make sure their team transform their disastrous performances this season in the Serie A Chievo have confirmed that representatives from the club will be present at Pope Francis' general audience at the Vatican on Wednesday morning.

Struggling Chievo have it all to do if they are to upset rampant Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday evening.
The Flying Donkeys are propping up Serie A with just four points to their name as they take on a record-breaking Roma side who are five-points clear at the top.

Possibly in a bid for divine inspiration, a 25-man delegation from Chievo will attend the Pope's Wednesday audience and club President Luca Campedelli will be received personally by Pope Francis afterwards.

Campedelli will present the Pope with a Chievo shirt and a silver plate with the inscription: 'To his holiness Pope Francis as a thank you for the welcome of faith and fraternity.'

Chievo boss Giuseppe Sannino's job is believed to be at risk after a dismal start to the season which has left the Gialloblu almost certain of a lengthy relegation dogfight. Last weekend's home defeat at the hands of Fiorentina was all the more painful for the fact that Chievo had led 1-0.

Sannino's hopes will rest on the shoulders of the able striking partnership of Cyril Thereau and Alberto Paloschi - two highly-rated marksmen who only have three goals between them this term.
Fans of Chievo will simply be hoping and praying that the visit to the Holy Father Pope Francis I will cast the bright light of survival on their beloved team.
