JUST AS GOLD IS TESTED SO SHALL CITY BE TESTED.

The next 5 days will be very crucial in the life of Manchester City football clubs, a period which sees them risk being knocked out of the Uefa Champions League and loosing the top spot of the English premier League when they face Real Madrid and Chelsea within the space 5days.
Manchester City welcome Real Madrid to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday needing a miracle to progress to the Champions League knockout stages.

The Premier League champions are win less in their opening four group matches and thus need victories from their final two games to have any chance of qualification.
Roberto Mancini may recall Pablo Zabaleta to his starting lineup, having rested the Argentine for the thrashing of Aston Villa on Saturday.
On the opposite side of the City defence, Gael Clichy could miss the match through injury, with Alexander Kolarov likely to deputise.
Mario Balotelli has not been included in City's last two match day squads but could take a seat on the bench alongside Edin Dzeko, should Mancini choose to partner Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez in attack.
This fixture will serve as a very hot test of City's character and hunger to establish themselves in the League of Europe's elite.
Real Madrid on the other hand will be looking forward to make amend for the points they dropped at the hands of their German Opponent Borussia Dortmund.
and hopefully Ronaldo would be more than glad to inflict more injuries to city since they are a rival to his beloved Manchester United and he will love to grant the united fans that favour.
Real Madrid welcomes  Fabio Coentrao and Alvaro Arbeloa back to the squad after they made their injury comebacks this week.
Whatever happens on Wednesday night between Manchester city and Real Madrid will not change the fact that City have another hurdle to jump in the like of Chelsea which they have to pay a visit to on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
A visit which most teams in the premier league never like to pay, especially not at this time of the year when the battle for who tops the league on Christmas intensifies.
Manchester City remains the only team in the premier League that are yet to loose a game, though Chelsea also held that record for a while not until United forcefully took it away from them with a controversial late goal from Javier Hernandez.
Though Manchester city have been in a very great form of late in the premier League which have seen them pick up 28points from 12 matches. with their last three point being taken in a brutal manner from the hands of Aston villa by thrashing them 5 - 0 at the Etlihad Stadium. They may experience the effect of  a champions league hangover after the must - win encounter with Real Madrid.
If Manchester city are to take anything this season from either the premier League or the champions league the next five days will definitely play a key role in that.
