ENGLAND AND THEIR FUNNY CALL UP

Many often wonder why England rarely gets it right when it comes to international Competitions and Tournament. If am asked the answer is not far fetched.

England is one of the countries known to use close to a total of 23 different players within a calendar year to feature during their qualifying matches and also friendly games, They keep on experimenting to the extent they even do so during the big occasions just like they did during the 2010 world Cup under the Italian manager Fabio Capello and in every other major tournament they have participated in for the last 8 years. Recently in the latest Fifa ranking England has dropped to the 6th position.
And now England are at it again, Roy Hogdson has just realised his 23 man squad for the friendly game against Sweden who will use the match to lauch their new national stadium, the 50,100-capacity Friends Arena.
The present England squad has a mix of but Old and New, youth and experienced players who we all know are not sure to make it for the next international game.
The 23 man squad include; Hart, Ruddy, Forster; Baines, Bertrand, Cahill, Caulker, Jagielka, G Johnson, Shawcross, Walker; Cleverley, Gerrard, A Lennon, Osman, Shelvey, Sterling, Walcott, Wilshere, Ashley Young; Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck.
There is a first international call-up for Everton's Leon Osman at the age of 31, Steven Gerrard will skipper the side. Gerrard will become only the sixth England player to reach 100 caps while Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson will join the squad once his international clearance.
